The Montgomery Foundation Grant Guidelines and Application Process

Grants must benefit organizations that directly serve residents of Coshocton County. The following is requested to simplify the review of your application and you will be contacted if additional information is needed prior to consideration of your grant request.

Requests must be mailed or dropped off at The Montgomery Foundation Office, 365 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton, OH 43812. Applications submitted by e-mail will not be accepted.

 

Application Process:

Seven (7) copies of your grant proposal with the completed cover sheet should be submitted to The Montgomery Foundation, Linda M. Scott, 365 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 and the narrative presentation should include these basic components:

  • A brief description of the problem or opportunity you plan to address.
  • Statement of the project’s main objectives.
  • Description of how you plan to address the problem or opportunity.
  • Expected results (number of people who will benefit from this project when completed).
  • Qualifications of both the personnel who will carry out the project and the institution that will receive the grant.
  • Timetable for the grant and project completion date.
  • The total estimated budget for the project.
  • Amount requested from the Foundation.
  • Other planned sources of support.
  • Plans to sustain the project after the grant funds.
  • Most recent financial statement/Balance Sheet.
  • Name and contact information for the follow-up by the Foundation.
  • Provide the organization’s IRS Tax Exemption Employee Identification number as well as a copy of the letter of exemption for the IRS indicating 501 (c) (3) eligibility.
